I am Jo Nixon .  My husband Phil and I have been part of Skipton Baptist church since we moved to Skipton in 2003. Our two children were born here. 

I have been a deacon and the church secretary since 2016 and in 2024 I moved to the role of treasurer. I am a chartered accountant and feel it's my calling to use my professional experience where I can to help in a small way with the running of our church. 

I also help at Sunday Gang and co-lead a Connect Group.  I consider it a real privilege to be a part of the SBC family of people seeking to serve God and make a difference in our community.

Outside of church, I enjoy walking in our beautiful countryside, listening to music and reading.
