My name is Alan Cobbald, I am married to Karen and have two grown up children.

Karen and I have been attending SBC since December 2018 and became members in October 2019.

I joined the deaconate in 2020.

My working career was in IT, and I am able to use those skills in my role as the deacon responsible for the church IT.

I now work as a missionary with the church’s partner organisation Reach Beyond, and bring that experience to my role as the deacon responsible for mission.

I have a heart to share God’s love with all people, regardless of their situation or background.

When not involved with Reach Beyond or the church, I can usually be found on the golf course, or walking somewhere in the Yorkshire Dales.
